Hi, I'm Jared Woock.Maybe my story sounds familiar to you… one day, I was at work and was visiting the cafeteria. As I sat to down eat my food, I looked down… I saw 30 pounds that didn't used to be there before. 30 pounds.It was a wake-up call. Between my work and life, I was so busy, at nearly every meal, I was just eating the most convenient thing. The world we live in is so fast-paced and it's so, so easy to neglect our health. That’s echoed in the growing demand for convenient, functional, nutrition.That's why I turned to protein powders and meal replacement powders… for their convenience and nutritional value. And like a lot of folks, like 124 million Americans… it worked for me.But these powders and these pre-mixed solutions are nowhere near perfect, and each presents a problem that creates our sizable market opportunity.
The Big Idea
Here’s the deal. Premixed ready-to-drink solutions just aren't as good for you as advertised, because the enzymes and probiotics in them break down in liquid, and fast… within hours.When they break down, your body is only delivered a fraction of the nutritional supplements that folks are after. And they are full of preservatives, unlike powder. But powder is as messy as it is convenient. It gets everywhere, it doesn't travel well, and it creates a cleaning nightmare. Dried protein powder in bottles and blenders… it’s a real pain point.People want the nutritional benefits of powder, and the convenience of premixed solutions.The answer is Ritual. The Product
Ritual is your protein powder AND your filtered water in one simple… single-use package. Twist it to release the powder into the water. Shake it to mix. And drink it while the protein, probiotics, enzymes and other nutritional supplements are fresh and at their best. And when you’re done, the sustainable paper packaging can be thrown away, guilt-free.Ritual is shelf-stable, it travels well, there's no clean-up, and, of course — it’s delicious.It solves the problems of both the powdered solutions, AND the pre-mixed solutions that make up our addressable market — a market that is growing rapidly.
The Market
Currently, 124 million Americans use protein powder or meal replacement supplements, and it’s projected to be a 55.8 billion dollar market by 2034. Now our biggest competitors in the market, the premixed solutions, they all sell well, but reviews on taste aren't great. And as I mentioned before, because they're premixed, the efficacy of the ingredients is a fraction of what's advertised.And of course, there’s powdered solutions. But we don't see them as competitors — we see them as potential partners. With our soon-to-be patented Twist-and-Shake mechanism, we can deliver their products where our customers are.So the opportunity is enormous, and the market has told us what it’s looking for.
The Opportunity
Those of us that use supplements know it's more than just a habit, it's a Ritual. Which is why our projections are truly conservative… If we assume folks use Ritual just twice per week, with 200,000 users we hit $100 million in revenue by 2027.We're focusing on direct sales and subscriptions to start, to truly create a Ritual with, and for, our users. We're using social media advertising, influencer marketing, and events to get our initial user base. From there, we'll grow into retail — vending machines, and convenience stores.Our goal? Make the convenient choice the healthy choice, and the healthy choice, a Ritual.
